The Tortoise and the Boys

When we first came to the island my dear friend, Rebecca, took us to Neo Park. Neo Park is known for its flock of birds ranging through the park looking for any tidbits of bread that a passer-by will give. Well, on this day, the birds were angry...very angry. We were mobbed at the entrance door by birds as tall as myself and others that were just tall enough to peck my ankles to death (mom, stop reading). Anyway, after THROWING our bread as far as we could and then RUNNING in the opposite direction to the safety of the path up the hill, we found these gentle giants. All that they wanted was eucalyptise leaves...LOTS of leaves. Oh, and Josh wanted NO PART of these creatures. He could run faster than them but they had big "chompy" lips that he was less than excited about.

Oh Cathryn, I love how you have set this up! I cried as soon as I saw the picture of the boat. Your posts and pictures and your wonderful warm sense of humor truly magnifies the marvelous person that you are! Then to top it off with the links to the other blogs and the music, well the music, what can I say... dad and I cried when we heard your first selection! Thank you for the beautiful person that you are, and I wish you so much love and happiness that you and your family so well deserve!

Hey Cathryn--I got your blog from the Kerr's. That is so exciting to be in Japan--a fun adventure for a few years. And you have 3 great looking boys! It's great to be able to see what you guys are up to. Keisha
